Criminal offenses can have serious consequences. They may result in substantial fines, loss of driver’s license, loss of employment, lengthy probation, deportation and even jail or state prison. These consequences can impact the rest of your life. I have the knowledge and experience to advise you as to how to best protect your interests.
As an attorney practicing law in this area since 1982, I have represented hundreds of people charged with criminal offenses, including murder, attempted murder, conspiracy, armed robbery, eluding, aggravated assault, sex offenses, kidnapping, money laundering, theft, burglary, drug charges, weapons offenses and almost any other offense you can name. I can advise you of all possible defenses, negotiate with the prosecutor on your behalf and, if necessary, try your case before a Judge and jury. I am Certified by the New Jersey Supreme Court as a Criminal Trial Attorney having handled over 150 criminal jury trials in my career, including nine murder cases and many other major crimes.
Municipal Court and Traffic Violations
As a former Municipal Prosecutor and Public Defender, I know how to defend you in Municipal Court. I know how to negotiate with Municipal Prosecutors to save you fines and motor vehicle points and prevent or reduce suspension of you driver’s license. I will fully investigate all defenses, file appropriate motions on your behalf, negotiate and, if necessary try your case before the Judge. Just as in Superior Court or Federal Court, you will be fully advised as to the potential consequences at each stage of the proceeding, but it will always be your decision whether to accept a plea offer or go to trial. I have never, and will never, pressure a client to accept a plea offer. I never lose sight of the fact that it is your case and your decision.
